I've never told a lie, and that makes me a liar. |
Ana ran a hand through her curls, her eyes scanning the tunnel as she walked. It had been a long day working at the perimeter of the city. Not only had it been extremely hot out, but Ana had a feeling all day as if she were being watched. It was uncomfortable to start with, but it had only gotten worse when she thought she had seen something in the far distance. She had mentioned it to some of the other Dauntless she was working with, but they had brushed her off as if she were seeing things. As soon as they had returned from their shift and she had a chance to wash up and change, she had set out in search of someone from intelligence. It was possible that they did not want to believe her because of who she was. It was a common occurrence among the people that she worked with, at least when she was working the wall. Amity and Dauntless had never gotten along, and even those who believed in faction before blood made fun of her for where she came from. Which, if you thought about it, did not make one bit of sense. The whole point in letting go of your past faction, your family, was making room for the new. But how was she expected to do that when no one else would? Had she not proven herself time and time again? Sure, she hadn't been at the top of her class, but she had been in the top five; and that should have mattered for something. Truth be told, she was extremely frustrated. It was the whole reason she was even searching for someone right now. She was sick and tired of her observations being pushed aside. How was she supposed to do her job effectively if no one took her seriously? Ana had come to the conclusion earlier that day, that maybe if she was right, the security cameras had caught whatever she had seen on tape. If they had, then she could put the rest of her group in their place. It was probably petty, but she could not think of a better way to make them take her seriously. Ana had been too distracted with her own thoughts, not paying attention to where she was going, or if there had even been another person in the tunnels so far. She stopped in the middle of the tunnel and raised her hands to the side of her head. Gently messaging her temples, she let out a small huff. Oh what a day it had been. tagged: (kyle), words: (437), (outfit) |
