I'm not afraid of being alone, I'm just afraid of being vulnerable. Kyle wiped the sweat off of his hand and put the chalk on his hand before picking up the knives that were on a table that was adjacent to the cut out silhouettes against the wooden wall with the figures lit up. He threw the knife straight towards the target and hitting it in the head, and then threw another towards the target mark that is on the silhouette, and hitting it in the middle. He smiled. This is what he was good at, and this is what he loved doing.
He looked towards the guns before shaking his head and heading towards the punching bags. He knew that the initiates that would be making their way to their Faction in the next few months wouldn’t be able to keep up with him if they tried, and that he wouldn’t be able to train like this for a while. The training room and the Pit would become a place for the initiates to train and he would be stuck watching them and his intelligence work, he wouldn’t have any other time for training.
He wanted one of his fellow trainers to come in to do a spar, but he doubted that they would want to tonight. They were having some type of gathering tonight and partying, and he instead was spending his time training. After training some on the punching bags he looked around the room seeing that more people were in here than he thought would have been here. He looked towards the guns again considering going onto the roof and shooting at the targets but shaking his head once again. It was dark out and he didn’t want to go up there right now.

It's the way you move and the clothes you wear, The alcohol and the way that you don't care. Fingertips. She woke up to the feeling of fingertips brushing along the side of her exposed body. Slowly, her eyes fluttered open; long lashes batting together as she began to stir. Strong male arms pulled her close, holding her firmly so her back was against his chest. Lips moved, brushing along the woman's neck. Tex always seemed to find a way to worm himself into her life. She had tried to push him out of her life; she had tried to move on away from him, and yet... here he was. Still. Maybe it was those deep blue eyes of his? Or was it the way that his raven black hair fell gingerly over his forehead? Perhaps even more so, was it that six pack of his -well defined, and solid? Whatever it was about Tex, either physically or emotionally or other, there was something about the male that allowed her to constantly let him back into her life. Of course, she was well aware that Tex was anything but healthy for her. The male would be very gentle one minute and then the next minute he'd have her pinned up against the wall -and not in a good sexual way either.
Lux Cameo Bybee ran a hand through her long brunette dirty-blondish hair, and let out a soft sigh as she finally was able to sit up in the large bed. She sat there for a moment before she rose. When she did rise she moved to get her clothes. She was going to be going to the pit today; it had been quite a while since she had gone down to the pit to practice and brush up on her training. Not that she was worried about being rusty or anything. It was always a good idea to keep up on your training. Once she was dressed, the female then walked out the door of her house. Well, not hers alone. Detroit, her brother that was older than her by two years, lived there as well. Sometimes Tex stayed over for the weekends. Detroit didn't like Tex, even though Detroit had been the one to introduce the two of them a year ago; during that time the two had broke up multiple times only to get back together. It was a destruction, and Lux knew that if they didn't end for good soon enough that she would end up probably attending some type of mental hospital. Tex drove her that insane.
The female came to the cave like entrance of the pit. Idly, she wondered if Detroit was here. Normally her brother came here daily, for the most part. He was a trainer of the sorts so to speak. The female moved towards where the punching bags were located; as she moved towards the punching bags, she noticed a male around possibly her age, perhaps slightly younger. Lux moved, tugging on her black leather studded gloves that were in the pocket of her leather jacket, before sliding the jacket off from her body. The petite woman acknowledged the other Dauntless in the area, with a nod of her head. Then the female advanced as she went to punch the punching bag; she landed a punch then swung her body around, lifting up her leg high as she swung it to hit the punching bag where one's face would be. made by kerrosene !

I'm not afraid of being alone, I'm just afraid of being vulnerable. Kyle looked at the newcomer to the Pit before smiling. At least the small girl could protect herself and do some damage. He had to remind himself though that she was already in Dauntless so she had already proved herself and she wasn’t one of the initiates that he had to possibly cut. He couldn’t get this through his head as he just watched her train. He knew that he shouldn’t be criticizing other Dauntless members because it would most likely lead to a fight, but he could use a little spar.
“How are you at knives?” he asked after she landed one of her high kicks onto the bag again. He noticed that a few others looked over at him before turning their attention back to their own training realizing that when his gaze didn’t move from the small girl that he wasn’t talking to them, and instead was addressing the girl. He moved just the few feet over to the table before picking up six of the knives and holding some up for her to take if she took on his challenge. He knew that this could either work for his advantage and he could get a challenge, or she would get pissed or throw one at him.
Kyle smirked at her before throwing one as he was watching her and having it land straight in the middle of the target. “That is, if you want to try to go against me” he said knowing that this would most likely get her over there to go against him. Of course since he trained the initiates he had some advantage compared to her, unless she was a guard it was doubtful that she had to continuously use weapons. Meanwhile, he used them for long periods of time two times a year. Most Dauntless members only kept up on their training if they were a guard. He was in intelligence but he kept up with his training because it gave him something to do while his group members were out partying or drinking. Although the one thing that he would stop training for a night was the nights that they all went out and got tattoos. That was one of his hidden loves that not many knew about, and he currently had four of them. He had arrows going down his arm, the Dauntless symbol on his wrist, a feather with birds coming out of the tip on his shoulder and his entire side was made to look like it was mechanical with the skin ripped away.
They all had a meaning to him, but to his friends they were nothing, just simple representations of what he had thought at that moment. But as soon as he threw the one knife he unzipped his jacket and threw it off towards the side. He knew that if he kept training the way he was going he would work up more of a sweat and wearing leather while sweating was never comfortable, and always lead to more issues than helpful tricks.

It's the way you move and the clothes you wear, The alcohol and the way that you don't care. “How are you at knives?”
That was the question the male asked her after she had landed another high kick into the punching bag. The female spun and used her other leg to high kick the punching bag, nailing it hard. Her gaze flicked over to the male, making sure that the question was directed at her. The female composed herself, raising a brow. Did he really want to challenge her? She couldn't help but smirk; sure, she didn't train every day like her older brother did. But, she didn't need to train or deal with weapons daily. It was something that came naturally to her, probably more than likely due to how much she had trained over the years. Plus, not to mention, she was born and raised in Dauntless. Not only that, her test had deemed her Dauntless. Just like it had with her brother. Eyes lingered on the male for a moment, taking him in. Sure, he was bigger than her and lean with ample muscle but she was lean as well and more than that she would bet top dollar that she had quicker reflexes even.
She didn't answer when the male picked up six of the throwing knives, holding up half of them for her to take -if she even decided on taking the challenge. Before she had a chance to move to accept the male's unspoken challenge at that time, the male smirked in her general direction and tossed a throwing knife. It landed dead center in the middle of the target. The male seemed to have quite the ego, and obviously Lux felt the need to kick the male in place. Challenging a woman? Really? Was he hoping for an easy challenge? The female smirked, a deadly smirk. Well, if he was hoping for an easy challenge it was something that he wasn't about to get. The male should have went and challenged another male; he would have had a far better chance of winning then. Challenging her though? Big mistake. Lux loved to win; she breathed to win. And challenges? She would eat them up like nothing.
“That is, if you want to try to go against me”
Was he trying to goad her? Lux snorted. Did he really just use the term 'try'? Men these days. Or rather boys. Men never acted like... this. He was a boy. The female sighed softly, rolling a shoulder in a careless shrug. "Try?" the female questioned, as she sauntered over to the younger male. The female snapped up a knife from the brunette male; the female then weighed the throwing knife in her hand for a moment. She then tossed the knife at one of the targets, and the knife landed straight in the center of the target; just like what had happened when the male had tossed his throwing knife into the other target. Lux turned, facing the male. A hand moved to rest on her left hip, which was jutted out slightly. She gazed at the male with cold blue eyes, assessing him. Well, at least he was worth somewhat of a challenge.
The female snapped another knife from the male; this time she didn't weigh it in her hands. Instead, the female tossed it. It landed in the forehead of the target. Lux turned again, facing the male. Again the female snapped up a knife from the male. Without a word, she tossed the knife. It landed in what would be the heart of the target. Her eyes darkened as she turned to glance fully at the male this time, a tongue sliding out to lick her lower lip. Her arms crossed over her chest, head tilting to the side. "I was born, raised, and tested Dauntless. Any more challenges?" Lux asked, making sure to get the point across that challenging her any further would be a waste of his time. Though, she didn't have a problem with it. made by kerrosene !

I'm not afraid of being alone, I'm just afraid of being vulnerable. Kyle couldn’t help but smirk as the girl checked him out. They both had sized up their opponents. He wasn’t completely muscle because he knew that you didn’t need all those muscles to be deadly, you just needed to know how to use your muscles to your advantage. That’s another reason that he was a good trainer, for the smaller girls that didn’t have any muscle on them at all, they needed to find another way to use their body to kill and injure. When he defected to Dauntless he had absolutely no muscle on his body since he came from Candor. Candor members didn’t have a need for muscle because there was no confrontation due to the fact that they always told the truth. There was nothing else unless you were downright lying, and no one in Candor was ever caught lying.
He smiled and let out a small chuckle when she caught onto him saying try. He knew that it would tempt her to go against him more, and it wasn’t because he was looking for an easy challenge, no, he was testing her. It was something that he loved doing with being a trainer and giving and taking away points. He watched her closely as she took the knife from him. He smiled as she weighted it with her hand before throwing it perfectly. He knew that some people didn’t understand that weight would affect your throwing and was quite proud that she had taken that into consideration.
As she sank every knife perfectly into kill zones of the silhouette he didn’t even turn and did the same to his target as well without so much as a single blink. It was easy for him, it had become second nature. “Am I supposed to be impressed? You made it passed the initiation for Dauntless I knew that you could throw, I was testing you completely. As you can see, I’m a trainer and that’s why. I wanted to see what you could do.”he said simply before shrugging.
He laughed when she said that she was born and raised Dauntless. “Is that supposed to impress me? What’s more impressive is the transfers coming in and being better than the Dauntless born. I’m Candor born, Dauntless tested. Now if you really want a challenge, spar with me.” he said before shaking his head and moving to get the knives from the silhouettes. He hated leaving anything where it wasn’t supposed to be even though it showed deadly accuracy. “But I doubt you’d want to spar with me, I mean like you said you were born and raised Dauntless. he said before setting the knives back onto the table at moving to the now flat platform that they use for the initiates to spar on.
He pulled it up and made the padding underneath expand so that the platform became raised as they used it to spar. He took off his boots and his socks before setting up the chalk on the edge of the spar mat and dipping his hands and feet into the chalk and walking to the middle of the mat. “Care to join me? he asked while stretching out his arms and cracking his neck.

It's the way you move and the clothes you wear, The alcohol and the way that you don't care. Eyes. She could feel her opponents eyes on her, slithering down her body like a snake. It didn't phase her, not one bit. It was only customary to size up one's opponent before a challenge... or challenges so to speak. There was nothing the female loved more than a good challenge. This male seemed like he'd give her a good challenge, and wasn't a waste of her time. Though, she'd sooner find out than later at this rate. Hopefully he was as good at talking as he was at following through with action. She was curious as to what this male in particular was capable of. Could he follow through? Or was he just some cocky male that had a mouth? The female watched him closely, taking in his every movement. The male was a pretty much even balance of muscle and lean-ness; it made it slightly hard to glance away from the male. That was for sure. So at least that was something he had going for him.
Lux glanced over at him as the male smiled, letting out a small chuckle at her catching on to the word 'try.' For him to use the word 'try' was a slap in the face to Lux. She didn't try anything, she did. She conquered. And be damned if she lost, she'd give it everything she got. She knew the male was tempting her, pushing just the right buttons to get her to play along. Not that she really cared much. The male obviously was dying for a challenge. She guessed that he was some sort of trainer or another. The female spun toward him, as he finished tossing the last of the knives into his targets. Without so much as turning around to glance at them either. Cocky. The male was cocky. Sure, he was good at knives. That meant little to her however. She could hit just as well as he could, not that she had the practice of tossing knives behind her back.
“Am I supposed to be impressed? You made it passed the initiation for Dauntless I knew that you could throw, I was testing you completely. As you can see, I’m a trainer and that’s why. I wanted to see what you could do.”
Ahhh. She had thought so. So that's why the male had a cocky attitude. The female smirked, rolling a shoulder in a simply shrug. "Take it as you will," she answered simply to his question; she really didn't care what the male thought of her. He could be impressed or not, it didn't matter to her at this point. She wasn't one to really care what others thought of her. Very few people's opinions mattered to her. She wasn't one to depend on another's opinions. That was for sure. She could live without them. It wouldn't phase her one bit. The female ran a hand through her hair, chewing down on her lower lip. "So that explains why you're so cocky," she muttered under her breath. Or at least he came off as cocky... in her view point. He had laughed at her mention of being born and raised in Dauntless.
“Is that supposed to impress me? What’s more impressive is the transfers coming in and being better than the Dauntless born. I’m Candor born, Dauntless tested. Now if you really want a challenge, spar with me.”
She watched as the male moved, pulling the knives from their targets. She had made movement to grab hers, but allowed the male to finish seeing as he had started with her targets anyways. The female raised a brow, chewing on her lower lip for a moment. "Like I said, take it as you will," she answered, rubbing the palm of her left hand against her right arm as she stood there. Her eyes wandering over the male's movements. "Candor..." she said, smirking, "Ahhh, that's why you're so blunt. Spar with you?" the female tilted her head to the side, assessing him. Was he serious? He had seen her high kicks, hell, the woman could easily kick him in the head. Even though he was much taller than her average 5'6" frame. Her gaze darkened for a moment.
“But I doubt you’d want to spar with me, I mean like you said you were born and raised Dauntless."
The female had to contain herself from rolling her eyes in just the slightest bit. This male was really on something.Lux Cameo watched as the male moved, setting the knives back on the table where they had once been. From there the male moved to the flat platform that they used for initiates to spar on. She watched as the male made the padding underneath expand so that the platform would become raised, like how it was when they spared on it. Lux began taking off her combat boots, and the black colored socks that she wore with the combative boots. She laid them aside, not too far from where her leather jacket had been shrugged off. She then carefully removed her gloves from her hands.
“Care to join me?"
Ignoring the male's question, the female stepped up on the platform; gingerly in a way the female dipped her own hands and feet into the chalk so she'd have better grip. She bounced on the balls of her heels, for a moment; the female stretching up her arms above her head, cracking her neck in turn. The female began to walk around the brunette male, like a wolf. She was sizing him up once more, and there was no way in hell that she was going to make the mistake of making the first move. No, she'd let him make the first move. made by kerrosene !

I'm not afraid of being alone, I'm just afraid of being vulnerable. Kyle couldn’t help but chuckle as she shrugged and smirked at him. Of course she also had that cocky dauntless attitude that all of them pretty much had. She knew that he was just being a normal dauntless member at this point, trying to push buttons and just being overall cocky. He couldn’t help but smile as he moved back to the table and set down the knives. He knew that she had grown up fighting, and had a good sixteen years on him.
When he first defected from Candor he was lucky that he made it on the train. He smiled as she said that being born in Candor was why he was so blunt, and that couldn’t be truer. He knew that he was blunt and sarcastic because of his time in Candor and not fitting in there, but he couldn’t help but keep some of the traits from there. When she asked the question, and rephrased what he said about sparing with him her just shook his head as he prepped the spar raised mats. He knew that most would have issues figuring out how they work, but he of course had to set them up for the initiates so he knew how to do it.
He held his hand out to her to help her onto the sparing mat knowing that this would upset her, and he was trying to get into her head. She was a girl and most guys wouldn’t hit a girl, but they weren’t dauntless if they wouldn’t hurt a girl. He knew that sparing against women was different than sparing against boys. The girls were more lithe, flexible, and smaller, while the guys were more direct and more muscular. They also weighed more so you couldn’t just throw them around like you could the females.
He made sure that the chalk was still on his hands and feet, and even took a few pats at his pants and made the white chalk from his hand show up on his pants. He cracked his neck while looking at her before smiling. “Ladies first of course… I wouldn’t want to have you down on one hit. That would seem rather unfair, and I don’t want to give you the embarrassment of not even having a chance.” he said before smirking and keeping his hands at his side, something that they told the initiates never to do. Always have your hands up, one ready to punch, and the other arm ready to block.
